這是一人開發、所有功能皆可免費使用且無廣告的 App，我們會盡快回覆，但無法保證即時。 回報問題時如能一併附上手機型號、系統版本、App 版本（在「設定」頁最下方） 與問題發生的步驟，會有很大幫助。

常見問題
沒有網路可以用嗎？
可以。防災指引、全臺避難收容所、急救責任醫院、AED 與警消等設施資料、手電筒、SOS 信標、 CPR 節拍與報平安簡訊的產生，在飛航模式下全都可以使用。 只有 App 在平時模式檢查公開版本、你主動檢查或下載離線地圖／道路資料，以及開啟 外部官方來源或支援頁面時才需要網路。
為什麼地圖要另外下載？
完整的向量地圖底圖檔案很大（全臺共約 355 MB），如果全部內建，App 會大到難以下載安裝。 因此改成讓你只下載你需要的縣市，下載後即可離線使用。
建議在災害發生前、還有 Wi-Fi 的時候先下載你的居住地與常去的縣市。
還沒下載地圖的縣市會怎樣？
斷網時仍然可以查看該縣市的避難收容所、急救責任醫院與 AED 位置， 並使用指南針、文字方位與直線距離找到它們，只是不會顯示完整的道路底圖。 所有防災指引與生存工具完全不受影響。
怎麼下載、更新或刪除地圖？
到「地圖」頁的離線地圖管理，可以看到每個縣市的底圖、道路資料、檔案大小與已占用空間， 並自行下載、檢查更新或刪除。下載開始後可以返回其他頁面，App 會在前景繼續工作；離開 App 或被系統終止後不保證持續。使用行動數據前會先顯示檔案大小並要求確認。
離線道路參考路線怎麼使用？
先下載同一縣市的底圖與道路資料，再在地圖上選擇該縣市內的設施並點「離線道路參考路線」。 路線會完全在裝置上計算，不會上傳 GPS。暫無提供跨縣道路資料，也不是即時轉向導航； 道路可能因災害或現場管制而無法通行，請以官方警報、現場標示與救援人員指示為準。 指南針、文字方位與直線距離會一直保留作為替代出口。
一定要給位置權限嗎？
不用。拒絕位置權限後 App 仍可正常使用，只是需要你手動選擇縣市， 而且無法計算你到收容所、AED 等設施的距離與方位。位置只在你使用 App 時取得， 不會在背景追蹤，也不會上傳到任何地方。
指引內容從哪裡來？可靠嗎？
每張指引皆整理自可核對的政府機關或公領域資料，並在卡片最下方標示來源機關、 原始網址與取得日期。英文內容若為中文的機器輔助譯文，會在 App 內明確標示， 且未經獨立翻譯審核；中文版本為準。
請注意：本 App 不自行創作任何救命內容，也沒有經過獨立醫療或防災專業人員審核。 災害現場請以官方警報與現場救援人員的指示為優先。
報平安簡訊好像沒有送出？
防災口袋不會代替你發送簡訊。它只會開啟你手機內建的簡訊程式並預先填好內容 （含 GPS 座標），你必須自己按下傳送鍵。
另外請注意，飛航模式或無電信訊號時簡訊無法送出，這是電信網路的限制。 App 不會宣稱訊息已送達 —— 請以你的簡訊程式顯示的狀態為準。
CPR 節拍為什麼是這個速度？手機靜音也會響嗎？
節拍為每分鐘 110 下，取自消防署建議的成人每分鐘 100–120 下範圍的中點。 節拍設計為使用媒體音量播放，並在你切換到其他程式（例如去撥打 119）或鎖定螢幕時 持續運作；Android 與 iOS 真機已確認在系統靜音、切換程式與鎖定螢幕時仍可續播。 實際音量仍受裝置及系統設定影響，需要使用前請先確認手機音量足以聽見。
節拍只提供壓胸速度參考，不會朗讀口訣，也不模仿 AED 的語音指令 —— 使用 AED 時請依照實體機器的語音操作。
受困信標會很耗電嗎？
會。SOS 閃光與哨音需要持續運作，並會保持螢幕喚醒，因此耗電明顯較高。 請在真正需要引起救援人員注意時才使用，並留意剩餘電量（信標頁面會顯示）。
支援哪些裝置？
Android 11（API 30）以上，以及 iOS 15 以上的 iPhone。目前未針對平板最佳化。
App 會蒐集我的資料嗎？
不會上傳你的位置、緊急聯絡人、設定或一般 App 使用紀錄。防災口袋沒有帳號或儲存使用者資料的後端， 廣告或追蹤；但 App 檢查公開版本，或你主動檢查／下載地圖與道路資料時，Cloudflare CDN 可能依其政策保留 IP 位址與標準請求資料。QR 掃描器的 Google ML Kit 也會接收有限的技術指標， 不包含相機畫面、QR 內容或地點。詳見隱私政策。

Every feature is free to use in this ad-free app built by a single developer. We reply as quickly as we can but cannot guarantee an immediate response. When reporting a problem, please include your device model, OS version and app version (shown at the bottom of the Settings page) along with the steps that led to the issue.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work without a network connection?
Yes. Disaster guidance, facility data for shelters, designated emergency hospitals, AEDs, police and fire/rescue units, the flashlight, the SOS beacon, the CPR metronome and composing an "I'm safe" SMS all work in airplane mode. A connection is needed only when you choose to check or download offline maps, or open an external official source or support page.
Why do maps have to be downloaded separately?
Full vector base maps are large (about 355 MB for all of Taiwan). Bundling them would make the app impractical to download and install, so instead you download only the counties you need, after which they work offline.
We recommend downloading your home county and any regularly visited counties before a disaster, while you still have Wi-Fi.
What happens in counties I haven't downloaded?
Offline, you can still see that county's shelters, emergency hospitals and AED locations, and find them using the compass, text bearing and straight-line distance — you just won't see the full road base map. All guidance and survival tools are unaffected.
How do I download, update or delete maps?
The map management screen shows each county's file size, current version and storage used, and lets you download, check for updates or delete. The app never downloads maps without your request. Once started, a download may continue while you use other screens in the foreground; it is not guaranteed after the app is backgrounded or terminated. The app shows file size and asks before using mobile data.
How do offline road reference routes work?
Download the base map and signed road data for a county, select a facility in that same county, then tap “Offline road reference route.” Calculation stays on device and does not upload GPS. Cross-county road data is not currently provided, and this is not turn-by-turn navigation. Roads may be closed or unsafe after a disaster; follow official alerts, on-site signs and responders. Compass bearing and straight-line distance remain available.
Do I have to grant location permission?
No. The app works fine without it — you will just need to select your county manually, and distance and bearing to facilities will be unavailable. Location is accessed only while you are using the app, never tracked in the background, and never uploaded anywhere.
Where does the guidance come from? Is it reliable?
Each guide is compiled from verifiable government or public-domain material and shows its issuing authority, original URL and retrieval date. Machine-assisted translations from Chinese are labeled in the app, have not been independently reviewed, and defer to the Chinese version as authoritative.
Please note: the app authors no life-safety content of its own and has not been reviewed by independent medical or emergency-management professionals. In an actual emergency, official alerts and on-scene responders take precedence.
My "I'm safe" SMS doesn't seem to have sent
Rescue Pocket does not send messages for you. It opens your phone's own messaging app with the text (including GPS coordinates) pre-filled, and you press send yourself.
Also note that SMS cannot be delivered in airplane mode or without cellular signal — that is a carrier network limitation. The app never claims a message was delivered; rely on the status shown in your messaging app.
Why is the CPR metronome set to this tempo? Does it play on silent?
The tempo is 110 beats per minute, the midpoint of the 100–120 per minute range recommended by Taiwan's National Fire Agency for adults. The metronome is designed to use media volume and continue while you switch to another app (for example to call 119) or lock the screen. Testing on both Android and iOS devices confirmed continued playback in silent mode, while switching apps and while locked. Actual volume still depends on the device and system settings; check that the beat is audible before relying on it.
The metronome only provides compression tempo. It does not recite instructions and does not imitate AED voice prompts — when using an AED, follow the prompts from the device itself.
Does the distress beacon drain the battery?
Yes. The SOS light and whistle run continuously and keep the screen awake, so power use is noticeably higher. Use it when you genuinely need to attract rescuers' attention, and watch the remaining battery level shown on the beacon screen.
Which devices are supported?
Android 11 (API 30) and above, and iPhone on iOS 15 and above. The app is not currently optimised for tablets.
Does the app collect my data?
Rescue Pocket does not upload your location, emergency contacts, settings or general app-usage history. It has no accounts, backend that stores user data, ads or tracking. When the app checks its public version, or when you check or download maps and road data, Cloudflare's CDN may retain IP addresses and standard request data under its policy. The Google ML Kit QR scanner also receives limited technical metrics, not camera frames, QR content or places. See the Privacy Policy for details.
